死亡詩社，外文名Dead Poets Society，又譯為春風化雨;暴雨驕陽，是由羅賓·威廉姆斯、伊桑·霍克以及羅伯特·肖恩·萊納德主演的一部勵志電影，故事講述的是一個有的老師和一群希望突破的學生之間的故事。

　　威爾頓預科學院一向都是以傳統(tǒng)、守舊的方法來教授學生，可是新學期來校的新文學老師基廷(Keating)卻一改學校的常規(guī)，讓自己班上的學生們解放，充分發(fā)揮學生們的能力。告訴學生們要“把握當下”(拉丁文:carpe diem,英文:seize the day)，并以該原則行事。在教學的第一堂課上，基廷并沒有在教室里上課，而是領(lǐng)同學們看校史樓內(nèi)的照片，讓他們?nèi)ヱ雎犓勒叩穆曇�，并去領(lǐng)悟的生命的真諦�；�廷甚至要求學生將課本中古板老套的內(nèi)容撕去，自由的教學方式讓學生開始懂得自己的興趣、愛好、前途和目標。他的學生們甚至于反抗學校的禁令，重新成立基廷曾于該校學生時代參與過的秘密小組——死亡詩社 (Dead Poets Society,另譯:古人詩社)，在校外很遠的山洞中探討詩歌、人生。但不久后，學校發(fā)現(xiàn)這個小組，校方對基廷老師教育方法十分反對。

　　基廷的學生尼爾(Neil)熱愛表演，并在一次演出上大獲成功。但他父親堅決反對，并將他帶回家決定第二天讓其轉(zhuǎn)學。尼爾極度痛苦卻無法傾訴，在當晚自殺了。小組成員之一卡梅隆(Cameron)出賣了他們。校方逼小組成員在聲明上簽字，將責任推卸與基廷身上，將他開除出學校。在老師要離開學校的時候，學生們站立在桌上，并說著"哦，船長，我的船長!"，以表達老師傳達給他們的信念會在他們心中一直存在著。
